MySharedWife is operated by Persistent Worlds Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales, company number 17113731, registered address 55 Church Road, London, England, SW13 9HH. Persistent Worlds Ltd is the data controller.
This page covers the pre-launch site at www.mysharedwife.com and the pre-launch survey at survey.mysharedwife.com. Separate privacy information will apply to the MySharedWife service itself when it opens.
We run two things here, and we deliberately do not join them:
Your survey answers are not linked to your early-access account. We do not store your email address, IP address, browser user-agent or any other identifying information alongside your survey answers, and we hold no identifier that would let us match a set of survey answers to a person on the early-access list.
What we collect: your email address, a referral code if you enter one, and a note of which page you came from.
What we use it for: we use your email to manage early access and to communicate with you about MySharedWife — including launch, access, and the Founding Members programme.
Who else handles it: early-access submissions are processed by Formspree, a form-processing service, acting as our processor. Using a service provider to handle data on our behalf is not the same as selling it: we do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own marketing.
What we collect: your answers, and the source label from the link you arrived through (for example a campaign tag). Nothing else.
What we do not collect: no email address, no IP address stored with your answers, no browser user-agent, and no identifier that persists between visits.
Partial answers: if you leave part-way through, the answers you have already given are still saved. They are saved on the same anonymous basis as a completed response.
Your result: the fantasy-type result the survey shows you is worked out in your own browser. We do not need to identify you to show it.
One honest limitation: some survey questions invite you to write in your own words. If you choose to type identifying information into one of those boxes, it is stored with your answers, because we cannot tell in advance what a free-text box will contain. Please do not put anything in those boxes you would not want kept.
If you want a Founding place, you ask for early access separately, on the main site. Nothing from your survey — no answers, no result, no response identifier — travels with that request.
If you enter a referral code it is stored in your browser's local storage. These pages load fonts from Google Fonts, which means Google receives your IP address when the page loads. We set no advertising or third-party tracking cookies.
Our hosting and network providers process IP addresses in order to deliver the site, as any internet service must. What we are telling you is that we do not store your IP address with your survey answers — not that no system anywhere ever sees it.
We keep early-access details for as long as we need them to run early access and open the service, and we delete them when you ask us to. Survey responses are kept as anonymous research.
You can ask for a copy of your data, ask us to correct it, ask us to delete it, or object to how we use it. Email [email protected] and we will respond within one month. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the UK Information Commissioner's Office at ico.org.uk.
Because survey responses hold no identifier, we cannot find "your" survey answers in order to retrieve or delete them individually — there is nothing tying them to you. That is the trade-off of collecting them anonymously.
